RVMP Owner Education · Lesson 07
Prepare a clear service request
Turn your observations into a useful handoff so the support team can choose the next step.
Your service-ready checklist
Save or print this list and collect the details you can obtain safely:
- Exact generator model and serial number.
- RV make/model, installation context, and purchase information if requesting warranty assistance.
- Operating hours and the most recent maintenance date.
- Fuel selected and relevant recent storage or fuel changes.
- Symptom: no crank, cranks without starting, runs without output, or shuts down.
- Exact light or display message, including whether it is steady or flashing.
- Appliances connected and the timing of the issue.
- Owner checks already completed, and the result of each.
- Clear photos of the equipment label and visible control panel, only if safe to obtain.
Example
“My [model], serial [number], runs on [fuel] but loses output when [load] starts. The engine [continues/stops], the [named light] is [color/steady/flashing], and the [breaker] is [position]. I completed [safe checks] and observed [result].”
Choose the next step
- Email support@rvmp.co or call 855-427-7978 for product support.
- Find a service location for qualified diagnostics and repairs.
- Open the generator warranty claim form when you need to submit a claim. Submission does not determine warranty eligibility.
- Return to the manual library to review your model’s instructions.
Ready for the final check?
You should now be able to identify your model, recognize a stop condition, describe the symptom, use model-specific references, and prepare a clear service request. Complete the final knowledge check to review these decisions.
